Menter Iaith’s Community Festival – Gŵyl GwyddGig Festival!

Our Welsh language music and arts festival is returning to Mold on June 12th-13th – Gwyddgig 2026!  it will be a pleasure to welcome everyone to Mold to enjoy a full day of live music and FREE activities. 

On Friday night, June 12th at 6pm at Ysgol Bryn Coch – there will be a special gig with two popular Welsh bands ‘Dadleoli’ and ‘Cordia’ organised with help from Ysgol Maes Garmon pupils.   The evening will be suitable for everyone, including families and anyone who would like to experience live Welsh language music.  Drinks and snacks will be available to purchase at the event, along with festival glitter and tattoos. 

On the Saturday there will be various activities during the day for children and young people in the buildings around the Daniel Owen square, including a chance to create a podcast with Flintshire Youth Services, fun challenges with the Urdd, Silent Disco and more.

There will also be live music on and around the square during the day, including folk singers Elin a Carys, Lo-Fi Jones, Chuts and more.
